Marijuana Ballot Question Petition Updates

July 31, 2023, the ballot question petition was submitted to Penn Township.

August 14, 2023, the ballot question petition was rejected by Penn Township trustees at the monthly board meeting. Their reasons for denial provided to the FOPT have no legal, ethical or moral grounds.  Several attorneys that are familiar with this matter advised us to file a lawsuit against Penn Township and are certain we would easily win our case.  Our Penn Township trustees, based on their actions, have put the citizens in a position which will require us to sue them for our right to vote on a matter that should have been voted on by our citizens before it was adopted by our Penn Township trustees. The Penn Township trustees have also denied any discussion on this matter at the Township meetings.
